A Little bit about me

I graduated Northumbria University with in July 2008 with a 2:1 degree. The course I studied in was Multimedia Computing. This course gave me core skills in graphic design, animation and of course web design.

Upon finishing university I have been involved in some freelance work mainly for friends and family. During this time I have focused my skills on creating stylish web pages using various CSS techniques and also utilising the vast amount of tools available in graphics programs such as Photoshop and Fireworks.

Outside of work I love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit places such as south-east Asia, Australia, Uganda, USA and parts of Europe. I also am a keen football fanatic and currently play for a local team All Saints Kings Academy.

My Skilld

I believe that design is a crucial element for any website. So far I have developed knowledge in Photoshop, using brush and texture tools to create stylish web elements. Another major part of my design is typography. I take this very seriously and am constantly trying new font ideas in Fireworks.

During university I undertook a Multimedia course giving core technical skills in a range of areas. One of these skills being Action Script.

Using Flash and Action Script I am able to create stylish banners and also create interactive web applications. I believe that a website's style should be controlled solely through CSS. I am always exploring new techniques to make my CSS elegant. During university I also explored making web pages dynamic using PHP and SQL. As part of a module I was able to create a website that would query a database of events and return the desired results.
